Vintage Carol Dauplaise Black and Carnelian Glass Link Necklace
Totally fabulous 1970’s Carol Dauplaise carnelian and black glass link necklace. The black and translucent rust red glass cabochons are set in heavily textured gold plated metal and alternate in colors around the necklace, a large then smaller red followed with a large and smaller black. Because the stones are glass the necklace has some weight. At 31 1/2”, the necklace is perfect for a statement piece, layering or doubling if you have a small neck like mine. The slide clasp is marked Dauplaise, and if it looks familiar, it was used by Hobe and Haskell. An early Dauplaise and a most fabulous piece.
