Vintage Weiss Rhinestone Blue Ice Cube Necklace
This very hard to find necklace from the 1960 "India Inspired" line featured a large free form faceted blue glass center stone framed with an ornate design of marquise and round rhinestones and two sizes of large dentelle ( multi faceted) rhinestones. All of the stones blaze with sparkle. The high profile of the dentelle stones shows reflections in some pictures, none are dark, all have incredible brilliance. The rhinestone chain makes the necklace adjustable to a bit over 16". All stones are prong set in silver tone metal. The necklace has support bars on the back also seen in some D&E pieces. I am including a picture of the ad used in Vogue Magazine that shows some of the brooches from this line. A vintage costume beauty! Just a note, the stone color is a baby blue, not the deeper blue my photos show.
