Antique Victorian Plainville Stock Company 14k Paste Rhinestone Brooch
This is a wonderful late Victorian brooch from Plainville Stock company. It is centered with a large rose cut paste rhinestone, extremely brilliant and set in multiple prongs. This is an unusual piece in that the bars and leaves across the top of the brooch test as 14k gold, the support bar across the back of the brooch is only gold plated. I had my personal jeweler verify my results to confirm my testing. The brooch has an old safety pin clasp which is signed PSCO for Plainville Stock Company. It measures 2 1/4". A fabulous and unusual find!
