Vintage 1980s Gerda Lynggaard Monies Multi Strand Wood Necklace
This spectacular vintage 1980's wood bead necklace from Gerda Lynnggard for Monies features five strands of black wood beads separated with a fabulous triangular centerpiece, black on the outside and white inside. White spacers finish off the necklace. The clasp is her signature horn clasp. This necklace, like most of her pieces, is large in scale. The light weight wood beads don't weigh you down and have an amazing drape. The center triangle measures 2 3/4" from point to top, the white spacers are 2" long. The shortest strand of the necklace is approx 22". The triangle shows some light wear on the front, nothing distracting but mentioned for accuracy, and could easily be touched up if you chose. This piece, as are many of her early pieces, is unsigned. Most came with hang tags long removed, but easily verified by style, design, materials used and the clasp. A fabulous piece of designer Danish jewelry!
