Vintage Russian Finift Enamel 800 Silver Lady in Repose
The art of Finift enamel began in Rostov in the 1760's. I will post a link at the end of my description if you are interested in the history of Finift enamels. This particular brooch features a delicately enameled pastoral scene of a lady in repose in traditional costume. The pastel greens and pinks are peaceful and serene, our lovely maiden in quiet reflection. The simple but elegant 800 silver setting sets the brooch off to perfection.
