Vintage Signed ART Dangling Asian Dragon Necklace
This incredible vintage dragon necklace by ART is a true masterpiece of costume jewelry! The 20" double loop chain with fold over clasp suspends a large ( 1 1/2 by 1 1/2") Chinese character from which dangle a pair of 10mm coral colored glass beads framed in filigree bead caps. The crowning glory of this wonderful necklace is the large and incredibly ornate dragon whose measurements are 2" wide by 1 1/2" high. Further gilding the lily are long triangular dangles of high polish gold tone metal, and more coral beads in round and tubular shapes. There is very minor pitting on the dangles, but nothing that in any way detracts from this spectacular necklace. Shown on page 143 of Classic American Costume Jewelry by Jaqueline Rehmann.
