Exceptional Rolled Gold Victorian Love Knot Leaf and Vine Brooch
This stunning Victorian brooch is crafted in rolled gold and features a love knot motif accented with leaves and vines. The detail is wonderful, as even the gold curves are engraved with leaves and flowers. The brooch is accented with two leaves which are also engraved. The brooch is quite large for a Victorian piece, measuring 2 by 1 1/2". It has a tube hinge and extra long pin with an open C-clasp. The patina of the piece is wonderful, and I have not polished it. It is unsigned, and I would date to the late 1800's.
