Vintage Sterling Silver Morpho Butterfly Wing Brooch Tropical Scene
This stunning vintage morpho butterfly wing brooch is set in sterling silver ( unmarked but tested) and features a tropical scene depicting palm trees on the beach with a suspended bridge in the back ground. The colors are iridescent and quite gorgeous, running through blue, teal and purple as the ligh changes. The reverse painting is in excellent condition, as is the glass cover, which it tightly set in the bezel. The brooch is a very nice size, measuring 2 1/2 by 1". Unmarked but acid tests as sterling silver.
