Rare Boucher Sterling Phrygian Cap Topaz Rhinestone Flower Brooch
This stunning and rare Boucher brooch from the 1940's is crafted in rose gold plated sterling silver. The design is amazing, with lifelike crimped, curled leaves and a long flower spike of golden topaz rhinestones, but one would expect nothing less from master costume designer Marcel Boucher! The plating shows some very light wear, and the stones have darkened over time, but this brooch stands on it's own as a superb example of Boucher quality. It is much more beautiful than my pictures can show! The brooch measures 4 by 3 1/2" and is signed Sterling, with the Phrygian cap signature of Marcel Boucher. Truly a masterpiece of costume jewelry!
