Vintage Pair of 800 Silver Plique-a-Jour Butterfly Brooches
This pair darling vintage butterfly brooches are crafted in 800 silver in delicate spun filigree with a vermeil wash and plique-a jour enamel. The smaller butterfly measures 1 1/4 by 7/8" and is enameled in red and blue. It is marked 800, stamped with a star, and 176 BE or GE, hard to tell, but these are Italy marks. The larger butterfly has only minimal enameling in soft pastels and measures 1 3/8 by 1". It is marked 800. Both are in wonderful condition.
