Vintage Jose' Barerra for Avon Florentine Collection Brooch
This spectacular vintage brooch was designed in 1983 by Jose' Barrera for Avon. The brooch/pendant features a fluer de lis design embellished with faux gems. The fluer de lis is pave'd with sparkling rhinestones and accented with three large faux lapis cabochons and a central faux ruby, enhanced with yet more rhinestones and faux pearls. The brooch is exquisitely made and quite large, measuring 3 1/8 by 2 1/4". The brooch has a hidden bale to wear as a pendant. It is in excellent condition and signed Barrera for Avon. Shown in Collecting Costume Jewelry 202 by Julia C. Carroll on page 246.
