Vintage Jay Flex Sterling Red & Gold Rhinestone Star Brooch and Earring Set
This stunning vintage sterling silver rhinestone set is from the Canadian jewelry maker, Jay Flex. Thought to have been in business from the 1930's to the 1960's, Jay Flex used sterling silver settings and fine rhinestones that were prong set by hand. Not common on the market, I am pleased to have this lovely set for your consideration! The glittering star is gold plated and crafted in two layers. The raised center section features a rich red rhinestone star of teardrops with a deep golden citrine chaton rhinestone center. The outside of the star features red teardrop rhinestones at the points of the citrine star. The colors are so very rich! The matching rhinestone earrings have working screwbacks. The pieces are in wonderful condition with slight plating loss to the backs. The brooch measures 2" and the earrings 7/8".
