It’s a layered confection of shapes, with a lighter purple open back oval center stone surrounded with deep amethyst foil back rhinestones in squares, ovals, rounds and teardrops. Clear rhinestones in squares and chatons add brilliance. The shield shaped brooch has a slight dome to the profile. Although unsigned, the hook and eye construction indicates Austria.
