Vintage Oleg Cassini Whimsical Bird Brooch Signed and Dated
Oleg Cassini produced a limited number of high quality costume pieces to compliment his clothing lines. They were also dated. The date on this lovely vintage bird( pelican or possibly kingfisher?) is 1964. In brushed goldtone metal,he is accented with pave'd rhinestones at the top of his wing. They are all bright and sparkling. His eye is a ruby red cab and he has a cluster of faux pearls at his feet. His wing is dimensional and stands out from his body. The pinback is tight and secure. He measures 1 3/4 by 1 3/4".
